Can anyone with more knowledge of the Galion, tell me what this might say completely.
I think it says;

6H6, or 6HR
SL, probably for Straight Line
1   J
ST. LINE RINGER

The first three digits must be 6H6. That number is always number/letter/number.  It does look like "SL" comes next, but what's after that is just guesswork.

Dan,
6H6 sounds right for the model.
SL is the straight line ringer.
I suspect  J is the scematic.  Did you check inside for a scematic? Iif there is one see if it rev. J. If it is then "we" (forum) may of discoved a *"Telephone Trivia Tidbit".
Just a guess,but I feel Lucky,
Let us know,
Jim S.

* "Telephone Trivia Tidbits" abound at shows. That is part of the reason I urge everyone to attend shows.

Dan -

I'll guess that you weren't asking "What's a stright line ringer". There are tons of on-line references to those.

Mainly curious about the top line.
