Wondering around one of our local antique shops today and saw a phone that looked like a 2500 but didn't.

Under the handset on the "bridge, handhold"?   it was stamped Atlantic Electric.
On the bottom plate, it was identified as NB 85200 and dated 9-67.

The shop owner was hovering and I casually mentioned that I had not seen a phone like that.  (Did not mention I am wet behind the ears when it comes to phones.)

So, anyone know about this phone.  Is it rare. Atlantic Electric phones do not come up with Googling, only the current phone company which appears to be an AT&T spin off.

Try "Automatic Electric" in your searches.

The 85 is a two-line phone. The active line is selected using the turnkey to the lower left of the dial.

Thanks, Paul  -

Is this phone of interest to anyone in the Forum?  I'm happy to purchase and mail it.  As I mentioned, the price is $57.

I have no interest in this company or the phone itself.  This is the store's website:
