I am working on a 500U Mushroom phone that was missing some internal parts, including the terminal strip.  I have a terminal strip, and I am working to locate the correct resistor.  I know I need a 30 Ohm 5% resistor (Bands: Orange, Black, Black, Gold), and I have located the right type.   I want to choose the proper wattage, and have it look correct in the phone.  My guess  is either 1W or 2W, (I'm leaning toward the 1W) but the BSPs that I've reviewed don't provide any specifics.  Here are a couple Ebay parts I'm considering.  Any ideas?   Thank you!

The 2012A or 2012C transformer is rated at 1.75 VA, which is exactly the rating of the Princess bulb, which was also used in the 500H, P, and U, I believe.

The lamp draws 0.25 A at 6.7 V, and has a hot resistance of 27 Ω.  The resistor in the Princess is a perfect match to that at 27 Ω, which is red-purple-black.  30 Ω should be just fine indeed.
Since the resistor is switched in series with the lamp, it cuts the current in half, so a 1 Watt resistor should be sufficient. I don't know whether they would consider that enough margin though for operation.

Thanks Unbeldi!!  Your analysis seems to indicate that a 1 watt resistor might be too small to have been specified by WE.  I know the higher wattage units are physically larger.  Do you think the resistor in the 500U pic is more likely a 2-watt unit?
