Is this Ebay sign with odd bell attachment repro or undocumented old variation?

Dear collectors,
I tried to find a copy of this signs bell logo top portion above "local" made of the hanging loops in my available sign references such as Dommers The Telephone Collection , Telephones Antique to Modern by Dooner and several collector  based sign sites. However I cannot find this design anywhere. The sign does appear aged .
Is this an aged reproduction or some unknown old variation?
Please advise.
Thanks,

That is a Bell Telephone Canada sign.  There are two versions, one French and one English. The English version says "Public Telephone" and the French "Telephone Public" I sold one of these for about $125 a few years back, they are not especially rare.

Keep in mind that BTC did not adopt the 1923 Bell logo that read "Bell System"-they continued to use the L&LD bell for several years.

Greg,
Thanks for the followup info. I didnt  realize that Bell Canada didnt adopt the newer logo . I paid $195 + Shipping for this one.

Greg,
I was trying to get a date range for when the sign was manufactured. Do you  know when Bell of Canada did change to the 1921 logo if it was delayed compared to the American Bells?
Thanks,

.....

I purchased a Bell Canada Buried Cable Sign last year, it had the same logo (Bell) on it. I contacted Bell Canada and sent them a picture of the logo looking for information on it.

Here is the response I got:

The logo was introduced in 1940 and replaced in 1947 by another design. Examples attached.

So the logo on the sign in question is most likely to be pre-1940, unless another logo was used in between.
