GTE Styleline with oddly similar easy to fix issues

Dear CRPF:

I've came across 5 GTE Styleline phones with very similar issues mainly with the receiver capsule and ringer.. They were from ebay and Phoneco mainly...

All were fixed readily, the receiver capsule by putting an older working one in, and the ringer either by adjustment or replacing the coil assembly, and occasionally the capacitor.

Maybe it's me, but it is like "deja-vu" because each had the same issues... Yes, some needed conversion to modular, but the same issues with each.

It could also be lazy ebay sellers seeing how much they can get for something they didn't want to check out themselves once they found issues with them.

Has anyone else on CRPF encountered this? Feel free to comment and give feedback.
