I just received a "courtesy" refund from Paypal.  Not sure if the refund came from the Seller, or from Paypal.  Has anyone heard of a "courtesy refund" ?  I have not returned the item since it was still an open case, and don't know if they expect me to return it, or if this was just a partial refund just to make me happy?  Unusual.

I seriously doubt the paypal would give anyone a refund as a courtesy.  How much was the refund?  Was it enough to make the damaged phone a good deal?

There wasn't a message with the refund - if they are not expecting the phone to be returned, then yes, and I can use the rest of the phone for parts.  It's a Local Battery phone, so the only good parts are the base plate and the ringer I think.  I didn't need the parts, but they may come in handy later on.
