We had that cord made locally. Sent 100 foot spools to cotton mills that made shoe laces and covered it. It made putting modular connectors on it easy and quick. The other  coradge that was being sold was loosely woven braided imported stuff that could not be gaurenteed by us to hold up. Some batches were stiffer than others.House of Telephones was not making cordage  yet and Runzel might have been out of business

Pourme

That was probably a good way to provide cordage at a very good price.

Do you know what these sold for?

My cords came in today and I also took some pictures of the inside.

rdelius,  There are two hand written notations on stickers on the inside. Perhaps you recognize the initials? (one fell loose)

It appears the phone was assembled in 1988 and a adjustment was made in '90.

The braided ivory cord does the trick!

One of our earlier ones.Norway painted handset and NOS AE  dial  with no chrome ring..Could not have had it 45 years.25                                                   to30 years  possssible.  No WE parts except repro base.

These are really nice phones. I really love mine. The paint job on the handset is flawless. Beautiful appearance and they work perfectly.

I must say after seeing a couple more of them, I really got a good buy!

Y'all did a good job, rdelius!

You got a better deal. Those norwegian handsets are light weight plastic.I doubt any of them were sold at that kind of price unless a custom job with gold plating.
