Hi,  you'll need to change the ringer most likely; Old phone works carries B1A ringers with a adapting plate that can retrofit  into the North Electric set.

The original straight line ringer used in the North Electric sets didn't use a biasing spring,  they had "magnetic biasing"... that would fail over time,  so the best thing is to use a ringer that will fit inside that has a biasing spring.
AE Type 45SL ringers are a good choice,  or the WE B1A/B1AL ringers with a adapting plate installed to allow it to align with the ringer holes in the base.

Thanks for the information. This is what I did drilled and taped new holes in WE B1A ringer used a couple small washers to raise it for the bell flange . Works.
