How to Display a Rather Oversize Nortel Flag!

This flag is from the time period where Nortel and California based Ortel were duking it out over the use of the Nortel name. For a period of about two years, Nortel placed Northern Telecom under their new logo. This flag was made for the opening of a new plant. As I didn't have a flag pole high enough to display it, this is how I am using it :-)

Dave, I would either hang it on the wall, or flat against the ceiling.

If I had any walls left to spare! They are full of phones! And the walls have track lighting ringing them, so no room for a 5-1/2' x 10' Nortel flag. This is one of the flags used in the dedication for the Advanced Semiconductor Technology Centre, part of the Semiconductor Components Group of Northern Telecom Electronics Limited, 185 Corkstown Road, Nepean, Ontario, on February 5, 1988.

Here is a photo of the flag showing its face better, and a photo of the dedication plaque given to people in the industry and senior employees (one of whom gave them to me.)

Hang it from the ceiling like a canopy.

Been there, thought about it, rejected it :) . Track lighting on all sides on the ceiling won't allow me to....  Only three feet between rows of lights side to side. It would look dumb, as it would sag down at least two feet and part my hair when I walk under it - I am 6'5" tall! If I had high ceilings, then maybe....
<G> Do I smell smoke?

I am waiting to win the lottery to build a 50,000 square foot expansion  :o .

Owain

You could sew up the edges and turn it into a duvet cover.
