Info for Poplar1

About a month ago I posted pictures of a 1937 302 I got, Poplar1 had asked me if there was a date on the 5H dial, well I took it apart today to start a restore on it, and there is a date on the dial ( I 37).

Thanks for checking the date on the dial. I went back and looked at your first posts about the 8-37 302 you found in the trash. That one has a 4H dial, but your picture shows the green "Tel. Co. Property" stamp on the back of the dial. In other words, they reissued an older dial on a new phone, or it was added later.

So the fact that your recently acquired 4-37 phone has a 5H (I 37) dial is another example of 1937 302s having 5H dials. I have a 12-37 set with a IV 37 5H. Still looking for a 302 with matching date 4H dial...are they out there?
