Saw these at an estate sale.  Don't know anything about them, they look to be in sad shape.

They don't appear to be made of wood though; are they?  They look like they have a seam like they were blow-molded out of plastic?

I've done quite a bit of duck hunting, and they look like good, working decoys. As long as they will float, they will work to bring in "live" ducks!

Do the duck phones take like a duck to water?

I have a wood one. I suspect it would float.

Some of the older decoys are worth big money.

The big money is for the hand-crafted carved wood decoys.
I used to have an "auction lot" find that was a canvas painted decoy with a wood head and base. Probably 1960's vintage.

I gave it away to a stranger that thought it was extremely cool. He was so happy to get the decoy that I suspect he still pays it forward.

But the thing is, are they real decoys, or just decoy decoys? ;D

I have one of the Duck phones. It quacks and it's eyes light up when it receives a call. It is the only novelty phone I have. I bought it from a boot sale decades ago, it cost me about 50p. Everyone who views the phones goes straight to that one. It's very popular.

Very big money.  Not even MagicMo's picture phone went for this much.
