we 302 not tranmitting

I have a we 302 that is not transmitting,however when I disconnect the red wire from the coil then I can transmit.the phone passes all other tests,any suggestions would be appreciated. thank you, Gregg

Check the connection, particularly those on the dial.

I got the 302 working again, it ended up being a bad handset cord and it got replaced, and I thank GMan for his response, Gregg
