And the winner of Auction Contest #259 is zapper who with the 18th and second from the last entry into the contest offered the winning guess of $1,253.00 giving him his 2nd auction contest win. So a big congratulations goes out to zapper for another win in the CRPF Auction Contests and moving up one rung in the Contest Standings.

The phone was won by c***n ( 4010 ) with his first and only bid of the auction, a last second snipe placed 4 seconds before the auction ended to take the phone home for a unique and first time to me winning bid of $1,111.11. The phone moved up slowly over the first 6 days of the auction to $203 after being listed at $39. It jumped a bit about 45 minutes before the auction ended to $330 where it stayed until the fun began right at the 1 minute to go mark. At that point, this auction became one of those that are doubly fun to watch. It rose to $360 with a minute to go, $390 with 40 seconds to go, $406 with 30 seconds to go, $470 with 10 seconds to go, $480 with 5 seconds to go and then it went crazy. When the auction ended, the high bid was $917, until the eBay computers caught up with the bids and that screen refreshed 2 seconds after the contest ended to show a winning bid by c***n of $1,111.11 let him take the phone home (I hope the seller was sitting down). The auction saw 11 buyers placing 27 bids. That was fun because of the rapid last minute run up to $480 and then the snipes which more than doubled that price. Wow, what an ending.

Thanks again to all who played. As always, there is only one way to get on the winner's board or move up a rung - you have to play to win.
