Title: Cat Phone - Who made this?
Post by: LarryInMichigan on December 23, 2010, 08:46:23 AM
This phone just sold on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150535632923 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150535632923).

I didn't expect it to go for much more than the opening bid, but I was wrong.  It looks somewhat like a British GPO 300 series, but with some northern European type features, like the number card holder on the front.  From the pictures, I would guess that it is a mid 1960s vintage.  Does someone here know more about this phone?

;D Thank you for believing in me  :D

This time I have to do some guessing, I believe you have got a Swedish L M Ericsson telephone modell DBH15 made from1947
Take a look at this: http://tinyurl.com/33tyyd5

The dial looks older.

Please tell us if this helps. Pictures from the underside, inside logos etc may help too.

It does look like the 1933 model, but it is obviously newer.

Perhaps it was made by a licensee of the Ericsson design.

Unfortunately, I did not win the bidding, so I cannot look at the phone itself.  I only have the ebay listing pictures for reference.
