Auction 265: North Electric 1949 Coffee Colored Galion - Ended 02-19-17

Listed about 12 hours ago in a 7 day auction with no reserve starting at $50.00 is a rare Coffee or Brown plastic North Galion with III 49 on the 101A coil, a straight line ringer and cloth cords. The phone seems to have never been put into service, based on it condition seen in the internal and external images provided by the seller. Since being listed, the phone has received 2 bids from 2 buyers raising the list price to $51. I'm sure it's going to go higher, much higher, so who best knows what this rare phone will sell for when the auction ends?

The seller listed it as an "Vintage 1930 1940 BROWN COLORED PLASTIC Telephone Northern Electric Galion Ohio" with the item condition as "Used" and " - - - " and with the auction listing description saying "Vintage Northern Electric "BROWN COLORED" PLASTIC Telephone -- This is a fairly unusual BROWN Plastic telephone from Northern Electric in Galion, Ohio.  This phone is in a RARE color. -- As seen this phone is in quite excellent condition.  NO PROBLEMS at all. There is No manufacturer marks on the outside of the phone. No scratches. chips, ticks, or issues.  The surface of the phone is nice as is the plastic body.  The original cloth covered electrical and hand set cords are also in exceptional condition.  The "Northern Electric" manufacturer mark is on the inside (please see photos).  I inspected it and all parts are very clean and in tact.  I did not actually test this phone, but it is so very clean that there is no reason that it would not work. -- This rare phone would be a great great addition to a phone collection!!  I never seen this color. -- I have shown a photo of the interior works/parts of the phone.  -- No cracks and no problems, just a very clean telephone.  Condition is a "9++" -- As you can see from the outstanding quality, this phone was not used much or in service much at all. "
