New forum members are very welcome and encouraged to take a guess. After all, there are no wrong guesses, just one lucky one. No one knows the winning bid on any auction until it ends. However, it is important to get your guess in before someone else grabs your guess.

Listed about 8 hours ago in a 7 day auction with no reserve starting at $49.99 ( with thanks to both WEBellSystemChristian and LoveOldPhones for the suggestion ) is something different, a 302 base with a pink soft plastic housing and handset otherwise known as a pink 5302 with matching fat, coiled handset cord and original line cord. Or, in other words, '59 plastics on a '41 chassis. From the internal and external images provided, the phone seems to be in good condition except for a fine corner crack on the back left side (circled in green). Since being listed, the phone has received 1 bid from 1 buyer but it won't stray there, and if it does, that buyer will be getting a deal. So, will go higher and as always, who best knows what this phone will sell for when the auction ends?

NOTE:  We will use a $5 gap rule between guesses to prevent crowding. As such, keep your guess at least $5 away from prior guesses for this contest. All guesses, original and a single allowed revised guess if needed, must be submitted at least 24 hours before the auction ends.

The seller listed it as an "Vintage Pink Western Electric 5302 Rotary Dial 500 style phone Rare" with the item condition as "Used" and " - - - " and with the auction listing description saying "This is a nice looking late 50's Pink Western Electric 5302 Desk Set. It is very Rare to find a 5302 set in Pink or any color as most were black. There are a few normal usage scratches in all the exposed plastics and a hairline crack in the left front corner, but nothing major other than that takes away from its unique beauty. Phone has not been tested and sold as is. -- This Pink 5302 is the perfect collectible for your telephone display or could be made to work if desired."
