How does one fit a G1 handset into a 302 cradle?

The listing claims that the phone works, but if I try to put a G1 into a 302 cradle, it will not push the plungers. A phone which will not hang up does not work by my definition.

Only way I could get it to hang up was to put the g handset in a odd way. If just hang it up like you should no go. Who ever gets this phone will not be to happy with the g on it.
