So I know we have several members overseas and was wondering, what phone is it you're hoping to find from the states some day?  Looking for a 500 or 302? What color?  Just thought it would be interesting to hear some items from your US/Canada dream list.

I'd like a transparent 2500, but that's because I want a transparent phone and they're hard to find in any style.

Anything 1A2 would be fun to play with for a while, but I don't really want it enough to buy it (large and heavy).

2 phones...500C/D red for desk and wall......oh and its in the 50's

For me personally there are two categories, vintage/antique and modern.

Vintage antique:

a 302 (preferably early). But I have one from 1943 now.
a red 302.
a redbar
a 500 preferably red
wallversions of the 302 and 500, I forget the numbers
red wallphone pre 1960

Modern
red contempra rotary
red princess

A 354 and a 554 for me, it's just the cost of shipping that is the limiting factor, the USPS is really taking the you know what with their prices... ???

Yes Ben, I collect red telephones. It gives me an excuses to buy all kinds of phones, and yet keep a theme to most of my phone collection. It gives it direction and some boundries as it were.

I also collect Dutch rotary phones from before the 50ies, early W28's, Ericsson 1931's and Heemaf 1955's.

And still I seem to acquire all kinds of interesing phones that fall in none of these categories.

Oh, the Redbar: I want that one just because I think it is a beautifull and interesting phone.

Yes, shipping is freakishly expensive. Strangely enough, it is cheaper to send it to the USA than from the USA to Holland.

I was going to look at the cost of UK to US, but it seems that the ParcelFarce website is not playing ball...  ;D

I am generally surprised of the great quality of the north American telephones, and the technical solutions. And that's what makes me generally interested.
The payphones has nicer design, and the technical solutions are so impressing, so when I look for a telephone it is the circuits who interests me, and the next is the design.

Another issue are the availability, the US marked are so great!
