What do I have here ? Zener or germanium diode in a 19.2 volt battery? Number is  S-901 or 5-901. Any help appreciated!!!!!!!!!!   stub

Bill,
      It's not germanium or zener, no black band on either end . I think I found it -  Thermistor - NTC Diode +-10%  @ 1k ohms in series with the charger. Battery had a 15 min bath in the lake yesterday, yeah  ::) I knocked off the dock  :o  Thanks, stub
