Quite by accident, yesterday I stumbled into meeting the guy who "accumulated", not collected 2000 phones and is now displaying some of them in Waikiki. The attached news article explains it.

John is trying to get a pay phone donated, but so far has run up against a brick wall with the local telco.

If there is a retired Hawaiian Telecom person who would be interested in helping with this project, please let me know!

It is a lot easier to accumulate telephones than to collect them. My telephone "accumulation" easily outnumbers my "telephone" collection.
