I'd go for 12v, as a 1A2 type system as far as I'm aware uses 10vAC, so you'd under-run the LEDs slightly which would make them last a bit longer... :)

That's what I did. they work great! I'm sure the 24 volt ones will work just as good. I just don't need them right now....
