Hi everyone,

I have looked inside the handset on my D1, and so far have not seen any date codes. Are they in orange ink, or what do they look like, and where are they? Thanks!

If you have an F series handset, you probably won't find a date.  I'm sure there may be some dated F handsets out there, but I haven't seen one, personally.  If you have an E series handset, the date will be under the receiver element, though I've seen them undated.  The receiver element itself will be dated, too.

Thanks, Bingster! No wonder I wasn't able to find a date if F-1s weren't date-stamped. I was hoping that if there were a date, that it at least would have given me a clue as to when this D1 had its E-1 handset removed, but I guess I'll never know. :(

If both your receiver and transmitter elements have matching dates, then that's almost certainly the date of the whole handset.  If they don't match, then it's a bit of a guess.
