Picked this up today at one of my favorite local antique shops.....asking $120.00 got it for $85.00

Looks like one of the Chicago Bridging Telephones as shown in the Chicago Telephone Supply catalog. They are featured in part two of the scan residing in the TCI Library.

Gawd...

Back when I was a newbie collector (30 plus years ago) these were a phone that I really wanted to have but if I recall correctly they were always $500...$600 or even more (in 1970's dollars).

Fastforward to 6 or 7 years ago when one was advertised in either TCI or ATCA for $275 (2000's dollars) plus shipping (not cheap even then) I went for it. I am happy to have it but they just seem to get less and less expensive with each year that passes.
