The 302 diagram is from Ray Kotke. the 685 diagram is from the TCI Library.

The connections with the 685A subset are shown in BSP Section 502-301-102 i2 in TCI Library. See Figure 5 on page 6.
You can see it better by going to telephonecollectors.info and searching for 502-301-102 i2.

The so-called "211G7 685 Subset Wiring" in the original post has a couple of problems:

(1) The ringer circuit is connected to L1 and L2 on the terminal strip, but the talk circuit is connected to L1 and L2 on the 425-type network. Where would you connect the line??? If connected to L1 and L2 on the terminal strip, the ringer will work, but not the talk circuit. If connected to the network, the talk circuit will work, but not the ringer.

(2) The jumper shown from L1 to RR would have to be added, but this is not mentioned.

(3) Connecting L1 to RR bypasses the dial filter which is inside the network between F and RR.

(4) The diagram is for a G6 mounting (211L), not a G7 (212L)

Here is a color diagram  of a G6 211L with 685A, contributed to TCI Library by one of our members, Jeff Lamb.
