Wow! Just wow-wow-wow (triple wow)!!!! That was a bit more than what we-the-guessers thought it would go for. And that's two in a row for we the members who played in big misses. Thanks to WEBellSystemChristian for the tip on this auction, it was indeed a good contest subject.

So, the winner of Auction Contest #215 is podor, who with the 12th entry into the contest offered the winning guess of $580.00. That guess gave him his very first win ever in our auction contests.  That's the good news for podor. The bad news is that the guess was so far away from the actual selling price that his initial average miss will be 48.5% - ouch! However, I don't post the average miss until a member has 2 wins (hard to "average" one win, right?). But, all that aside, our congratulations go out to podor for his first win in the CRPF Auction Contests and getting on the Contest Standings list. No place to go but up from there.

The phone was won by x***k ( 168 ) with his first and only bid, a snipe, place just 9 seconds before the auction ended. Two other snipwed placed 3 snd 5 seconds before end time did not exceed x***k's high bid. The perils of sniping. So, when the dust settled, x***k took the phone home for a mere $1,125.99 plus $14.00 shipping. The auction saw 8 bidders placing 12 bids.
