Seen These Before??

I saw these on eBay and decided to give it a shot. The AE handsets are worth more than the $25 I paid for them. I love space savers so here we go!! I cleaned one up with layers of paint removed. Nice Aluminum underneath.

Looks like a intercom using the AE Handsets. Any idea?...Doug

Interesting. I would guess intercoms also. Is there a ringer or buzzer in them? Different switch hooks for sure!

Harry...no ringer. This is one I refurbed. The other will move to another collection....Doug

Nice. I like the AE handsets a lot, especially with the bands. Looks good.
With no ringer or buzzer how would you signal someone to pick it up?

My guess, intercom, when the handset is raised the light goes on at the other phone. When the other handset is raised this end lights up.

OK. I thought that was a button not a light. Now I see! (the light)

It probably to open a door and there may have beena doorbell inside the building and  a seperate buzzer to signal the door was unlocked
