compubit posted the same cartoon on March 15 in the sticky topic "Telephone Jokes, Cartoons and Humor" in the "Across The Web" board but your image is much better.

I was looking for that thread, but wasn't sure where it was at, I was looking in the Off Topic area.  I downloaded the image from http://www.gocomics.com/

The original post was moved into the longer thread.

I scanned it from the comics - the on-line version is much cleaner. Still makes me chuckle.

On a side note, my niece made me a picture using markers on a canvas of a red rotary dial phone - having never really used one - I mentioned my flea market find and her eyes lit up. She can't wait to see it when she comes to visit. So now I'm in the process of hunting down a red 500 desk set (not soft plastic - yet!) for her birthday this summer. The good thing is that they're plentiful. She's definitely got an old soul - likes the traditional things, but a very caring and sensitive heart (we have to be careful what we say around her on certain subjects). I may have someone to hand my collection down to.

A phone phanatic since I was less than 2 (thanks to Fisher Price); collector since a teenager; now able to afford to play!
Favorite Phone: Western Electric Trimline - it just feels right holding it up to my face!
