Hello everybody,

In the last week I have made a few purchases, many more than in the last few months. I haven't been making lots of deals in the past time as I have lots of school work and too many phones to restore. Although, I found a couple this week.

On Friday, the 26th I purchased a green princess phone. I've wanted one for quite a while in green to go with the rest of mine. It may be said that $21.00 is too much for a green Princess, but I got what I wanted. :) Link: http://tinyurl.com/ooetprn.

Today, the 31st of December I bought a gold multiline phone, which I have been watching for years. It is in rough condition, especially the handset, but I think I made a pretty good deal at $62.00. But, what do I know, maybe you can tell me if I made a bad deal? Link: http://tinyurl.com/nczw2js.

Finally, I purchased a black WE 514 set for $24. To the unobserving viewer, it may seem like a 2 line phone that is missing the key, (albeit in the wrong space.) (anybody have an extra one?) Although, it actually has a headset jack, different ringer adjuster and the provision for a message waiting lamp. So, I thought it would be very cool project. Link: http://tinyurl.com/p23erq5

Tell me what you think and I apologize for all of the writing.

Those are all very nice phones, Ben!

Your 514 is certainly an interesting, and unusual variant, enjoy your project, my friend!

Best regards!

Thank you Terrence, I agree the 514 is cool. I purchased a headset for it for $9.99 on eBay to go with it.

The 514 set is completely restored. The restoration was fairly straight forward, I made sure everything worked, serviced the dial, and progressively buffed the casings which came out with a mirror finish.  The only thing I may change in the future would be a matching black cord, instead of the satin silver one.

Of course, the operators headset works perfectly. Also, the ringer adjuster on the side. The interesting part about it, it says "off" though it only quites down the bell.

I also created video presentations to better show the phone:

I forgot to mention I finished the 1970 Princess Phone a while ago. I added a light transformer to light up the light, which is arguably the coolest feature of the phone.
