Title: NETT flat 11"
Post by: Sargeguy on August 11, 2017, 10:59:54 PM
Just purchased this one-sided 1921 pattern 11" New England Telephone & Telegraph Co. I have been looking for a halfway decent one for under $100 and this will have to do for now.  The larger 18" sign is more common and I have owned a few.  The 11' is harder to find.  It is interesting that the flat/one-sided signs were used more often than the flanges by NET&T, while flat signs are relatively uncommon for most other telcos.

For under $100?.....I NEVER find a original sign of decent condition (or any condition) for under $100. I think the area of the country you live in has a effect on what is found in the wild. In the territories of independent phone companies, Bell system signs must be imported. I do see Centel branded items from time to time. If I want Bell signs I'm forced to buy at retail prices.
