Donna, I'll go with your definition.............here's what Dictionary.com says about the Buttinski.....

Google has reference to a Mr. Buttinski but his first name is unknown.  He was alive in the late 16th Century.

So I guess it's OK for the doll to have her butt-set hanging in an area other than her butt.

There are referances. I need to find them(been watching).  The  butt set position really depends on the handness of the tech.
