I believe KK stands for Koiled Kord.

I believe KK stands for Koiled Kord.

That is what I was thinking.

I just finished reassembling the phone, and it looks pretty good (at least by my standards).  The white paint is gone, and the ivory color has been restored with bleaching.  The plastic and cords were sunburned in areas and there were alot of brownish blotches.  The ABS bezel was especially discolored.  The parts which were not covered with dirt were brown.  The phone is still waiting for a #7 dial, soft plastic bezel, and open finger wheel.  I do have a 7C dial dated "9 57" (only five months off), but I do not have the other two parts.

Below is a picture after the reassembly.

Wow, Larry - that phone really looks great!!   That was a huge transformation.  I'm sure you'll find the dial parts you need.   I know I've seen many modular refurbed 500s on Ebay that still have a 7-series dial in them.  They are out there.....   Paul
