If swapping out a 35-type dial for the newer 72-type, in a 2500-type set
here is an example of the needed wire changes:

Summary:
(1) Move hookswitch wire (usually brown) from "C" on network to [D] screw terminal on back of 72-type dial
(2) Move red handset wire from T to R
(3) Move black handset wire from R to B

Conductor:                  Terminal (35-type dial):    Terminal (72-type dial):

The table is correct. The summary was incorrect, see below:

Summary:
(1) Move hookswitch wire (usually brown) from "C" on network to [D] screw terminal on back of 72-type dial
(2) Move red handset wire from T to R
(3) Move black handset wire from R to B B to T

So the 8 wires of the 72-type dial connect to the same terminals as the 8 wires of the  35-type dial.
The differences are in 3 other wires: brown hookswitch, red handset jack, white handset jack.
