If you don't have a Bell System finger wheel removal tool you may be interested in this item recently posted to the TCI list serve by Steph Kerman:

"The tool kit consists of a 7/16" diameter X 3¾" long tubular aluminum
"pin vise" handle with mini drill set and a scribe point. The kit
includes drills from #74 to #52, which store inside the handle.

I find that inserting the #60 (0.0400") bit backwards into the chuck
(drill point inward) provides a tool-steel pin that fits a WECo finger
wheel perfectly. The large handle provides a good grip, making it easy
to exert the required pressure with some of the more difficult to remove
finger wheels. The other bits may work well in AE or other finger
wheels. Unlike using paper clips or other improvised tools, which may
not have a square end and may slip off the finger wheel release tab, the
tail end of the drills are machined flat and seat firmly on the release tab.
The specific tool I actually bought can be purchased from Amazon for
$13.75 +$5 shipping or direct from the mfr for $13.75+$4."

And I couldn't find anything like it at Amazon or eBay but did find it at Micro-Mark for $18.95 plus $8.95 shipping for a total of $27.90. I bit high, nice tool but high.

Here is a cheap one that was mentioned somewhere before. < http://tinyurl.com/4xaqp97 > I use a pin vise with a drill inserted backwards.
