About this item:  For the first time ever, I now have available replacement cords for the early Western Electric soft plastic colored 500 sets. These sets were made between 1954 and 1958, and most colors came with Oxford Gray cords. In replicating these cords, we managed to nail the color dead on, but due to engineering costs, it was too expensive to make them "fatter" like the originals. I hated to do it this way, but I don't think I'd be able to get $50+ per set I would need to get if I went with the engineering change.

What you get with the set is one 6' spaded handset cord and one 6', 4-conductor line cord with a J-strain relief on one end and a dog ear stain relief on the other, exactly as the original would have.
