I'm confused with Doug's post regarding the IRS. Reading the explanation on Pay Pal you need 200 transactions AND $20,00.00 in sales to receive a 1099. Both must be met not one or the other.
My guess for the Picturephone is $22,799.00 and the winning bidder will be the buyer from Canada.

Now $13,050.88 - f***n bid $13,000 and m***c countered with $13,050.88

So for the moment, m***c has hit his current maximum bid of $13,050.88 rather than that amount being an automatic bid based on some unknown maximum bid by him. We will have to see if he increases his max bid or waits for someone to outbid him now. At the moment it can be anyone's for $13,150.88 as a bid of that amount will take it....for now.

Good news for Maureen then, she can sell 198 more items this year on ebay without worrying about paying tax (or at least without getting a 1099 statement.

I guess that no one has received a 1099 for 2012 ebay sales yet? Is there any chance that it might be triggered at a lower total sales value or a lower total number of sales for 2012? IE phasing it in and hitting more sellers each year.
