This is one of Western Union's phones when they were trying to compete with Bell using Elisha Gray's patents.  It's really old.  Note the two hooks.  This was when they used dual receiver/transmitters rather than a separate  and transmitter receiver.  Those are not switch hooks: the caller needed to manually switch off the phone when the call was over.

The price is too high at my opinion ! :o   At this price , its a good cash for a house or a car..

The one in the eBay auction is earliar than the one in the museum, and has the original front panel.  It is missing the crank and the transmitter/receivers.  Still an awesome piece of telephone history in great condition.
