Question, the primary light source is . . . ?

I guess when the lamp bulb burns out, you can light the lantern, or is it, when the lantern fuel runs out, you can turn on the lamp bulb?

What a waste of a fine lantern. The creator of this should be in the Lantern Witness Protection Program . . .   ;)

Guess the fun just wouldnt've been there if they they did that to a nondescript import.

I'll bet you could turn that back into a nice lantern, John!

twocv,

Yes, same thing except your find probably has holes in the bottom of the fuel font as well holding it to the wood base. I remember that topic, now that you posted the link.

Dennis,

Yes, I could but would have to buy another one for parts, and close one hole in the fuel font, and seal the tank interior and end up with a $60-80 lantern cost that would give me a working lantern worth about $20-25, so in short, will I do it? . . .

                   NO!  as in way . . .  ;)

Nice compliment but other than proving the point, not worth it.
