Here is my latest acquisition and probably the rarest phone in my collection

FABphones

Very nice. Never seen that model.
Interesting handset on it.
Where did you find it?

Could you add more photos, inside, handset, etc.

I've been looking for one of those for a while - sadly, when it comes to the punch, someone wants it more than I do.

Eventually...

It's the only one I've ever seen Jack, I had to seize the opportunity!

I've seen quite a few of them but having one eludes me - I think I would prefer only to have seen one and possess it!

I knew Fuld was on the British market but was not aware that they ever made candlesticks! These were not popular in Germany, Fuld's home market. So I assume the phone was made for Britain? Is there a date of this phone known?

In fact the phone appears in a 1932 Fuld catalog, but not in the 1935 edition. By this time the company had been renamed into NTT, later TN after the Fuld family was expropriated by the Nazis. (Peter Harry Fuld, son of the founder, obtained back company shares in 1951).
The dial center has the typical 1920ies/30ies German lettering and TN logo.
I'm not sure what happened to Fuld's British branch after the unlawful actions of nazi Germany against the company.
Please keep pics of this find coming!

I'm not aware that this model of phone was ever available in the UK. I've only seen the Frankfurt model over here

Hmmm... that makes even clearer that it is an extremely rare phone. As stated above, candlesticks weren't common here at all.

Here's a link to the wiring diagram from Thomas' site priteg.de, Thomas also is extremely helpful with any questions about Fuld/TN equipment.

As far as I'm aware, only the Fuld Frankfurt phone was imported to the UK

That is a different looking stick.
You should post it in find of the month.

Could this phone been made for the French market. There are similar looking French candlesticks. Nice find.
