About 9 minutes in a BIN auction this morning. It came up as active when I opened eBay and by the time I could open the item, it was sold.

Went for $34.99 plus $32.82 for shipping. It's a parts phone but I'd think this would have gone for more in a regular 5 day auction. Think someone got a deal on this parts phone?

"This Pay Phone is from the 1950's and is an original (not a replica). The phone was manufactured by the Automatic Electric Company and is a model LPB-89-55. The phone DOES NOT work in its current condition, but would be  a great source for parts for another project or as a restoration project itself. The handset has both of the elements in place in the ear and mouth pieces. The coin box assembly is NOT included."

Another ebay treasure that got away!
The idea that a four-year degree is the only path to worthwhile knowledge is insane.

I think those early coin relays are worth a fair amount of $$$ now.
