I just picked up a 1962 stromberg carlson 2 line phone but, I have no clue how to remove the fingerwheel?  Do I need to remove the center bolt?  It has two really cool red lights on the front unfortunately the wires have been disconnected internally and cut!!  Also, it seems to be a buzzer not a ringer :-(

Unscrew the nut in the center on the finger wheel.  The finger wheel is held in place by the two metal pieces above and below it.

Be warned that SC dials are probably the most difficult to service.  They are notoriously difficult to make to work properly.

Yeah I am not too thrilled with this phone.  It looks challenging.  I may just box it up and attempt to tackle it another time.  I do not have a wratchet large enough to unscrew it and all of my pliers are too big!  Oh well..
