Title: Connecticut Telephone & Electric
Post by: Phonegal on May 26, 2016, 09:47:48 PM
Hi. I need information regarding phones manufactured by the Connecticut Telephone & Electric Co. circa 1950. These seem to be obscure and I need both general information and wiring specifics. Thanks in advance.

Not a manufacturer I know much about.

Some info about phones:

A TP-6 circuit (bottom of page)

There is probably some information in the Signal Corps documentation as well.

Hi Jack. Of course TCI- I should have thought of that.

Also seems that there's quite a bit right here from the regulars once you know where to look- think 'Toaster Phones'. Interesting phone and it appears that they were mainly contracted for Signal Corps needs and afterwards ended up in the residential market. I think Bill G. said that they were so heavy that they were best used to throw at the enemy- still laughing from that. I have one that's slightly customized with some chrome; I'll get a picture up soon.

Thanks for the input and have a happy holiday weekend.

Your're welcome. It's not actually a holiday weekend here (what I call a long weekend) but I'll have a happy one anyway - thanks.
