------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Post your "Find of the Month" here.

A "Find of the Month" is a telephone or a related item that you acquired during the month that you are particularly excited about either because of its rarity, the difficulty you had in trying to find it for your collection or the exceptional "deal" that you got on it. Other than that, any discussion of or comments about the nominated phone are not allowed, FOTM nominations only. As stated below, "Ideally your item would be (first) posted in its own thread elsewhere on the forum" and if so, "the forum link if discussed in another topic" is to be included in the nomination reply.

If a significant discussion of a nominated phone starts in a FOTM topic, it will be moved to a new "discussion" topic in the appropriate board and if not, then simply removed.

The "Find of the Month" contest is focused on the collection of telephones rather than on their sale for a profit. To be eligible for the "Find of the Month" contest:

- The finder must have personally acquired and actually own the item.
- The item can be acquired for free but it can not be a gift or present from anyone.
- The item (or any of its components) cannot be put up for sale during the contest period.
- Only one "Find" per owner can be in a "Find of the Month" contest.

A Nomination Should Include:

1) where and/or how the item was found.
2) the price & shipping cost.
3) the forum link to the topic discussing the find.
4) the eBay link if won there.
5) other information of importance about the find (why the item is very important to you for any reason).
6) and one or two pictures of the item.

Ideally your item would be posted in its own thread elsewhere on the forum such as "Auction Talk", "Flea Market/Yard Sale Finds" or "Collectors Corner" Board. Then you or anyone else can nominate your "Find" to the Current "Find of the Month" thread by posting at least one picture and other details including the price paid, any shipping costs and a link to the original discussion on the forum. It is not a requirement that your find be posted elsewhere on the forum but the more details the better.

Nominations of phones listed in other forum discussion topics, by members that do not own the item but realize it is indeed a "find" worthy of being nominated as a "Find of the Month" candidate, are always welcome.

Please pick your best "Find" to submit for the month limiting your entry to one phone or one "Find" that might include limited multiple items. If you have already entered for the month and come up with something even better either submit your new find indicating that it replaces your previous entry OR you can enter your new Find in next months contest.

I'll nominate this AE touch tone 3 slot I won on shopgoodwill.com for 101.01 + 24.76 = 125.77.

I've always wanted a touch tone 3 slot. I have couple of single slot TTs & a 1C dial single slots, when I saw this chrome 3 slot TT I figured I NEEDED IT, if the price didn't go too high.

I just happened to have my iPad opened & remembered that auction was ending that day. I looked & it had 2 minutes left. So it was a last minute bid. I didn't want to pay more than $100.00, so I bid $101.01. After I won, I looked at the bid history & the next closest bid was $101.00 the chrome is good. I read the dials are junk.

My wifey keeps a facebook marketplace post up on Facebook wanted Old phones.   Well we hit our holy grail so to speak.   We bought the Estate of Telephones Unlimited in Big Rapids Michigan with the goal in mind to help get the phones out to young guns in the hobby  at affordable non eBay pricing.  We arent all about profit.    These pics are just a sampling of what was in there.  Weve found a Pink & Blue AE 80,  Ash got a Pink GTE Starline.  Tons of NEw old stock parts & phones.  Housings the works.    All is slowly being inventoried and being made available to the community at an affordable name whats fair to you price.

We bought a huge lot of phones and equipment and this one stood out the most to us

An AE 34 with Brass receiver rings and dial.   Itll clean up nice.  Its on the shelf to be cleaned and restored and will go on Ashleys desk as her primary phone.

Was out antique shopping the first available weekend in January and found this lovely Stromberg-Carlson 2 boxer. The magneto alone was worth the 100.00 I paid for it. The receiver shell was broken, but I managed to find a replacement. The hook was bent, but I straightened it. The only part missing is the receiver cord. Should be an easy find. The wood is in great shape. I gave it a good cleaning and a wiped down with some Howard's Feed n Wax.

I will nominate my c.1939 mottled brown bakelite Northern Electric Uniphone with an NU handset.  I cost me a total of about $58 after shipping and tax.  I replaced the cords and added a dial card.

For your vote consideration please, these almost 100 year old RatCo Ltd (*Relay Automatic Telephone Company, London, Limited) phones which were purchased as a pair, having been originally installed together in a factory in the UK, which was demolished.

(*Marconi set up the Betulander Automatic Telephone Company in 1913, which later became the Relay Automatic Telephone Co).

I like the fact that these phones have an association with Marconi. They are super cool phones, with a super cool name, which don't come up for sale too often. Finding a matching pair is a real bonus.

Hi guys! Its been a while since I've logged on to this forum. I still love collecting, but I'm just not as aggressive as a few years ago. This week I found a pair that was just too exciting not to share. These two were technically separate purchases, but I bought them within a day of each other, both locally, so I consider them 'one find'.

I got a rose beige 500 for $20, and oxford grey 501 for $30. Talk about a luck! I've been looking for an oxford gray for years!!! Can't believe I finally found one in my neighborhood.

So I'm showing off my dark beige and grey western electric 500 sets purchased locally for $50. Find of the last two year for me!

While I still can, I'd like to nominate my clear "880L" cordless phone. It's an import gadget, but hey, it is clear ;-)
I'd guess it is from the 1990ies and was a grey import to Germany. It has been discussed here:
