Today's find: Mr Jeff Rosner (does anybody know him maybe?) forgot three business cards in my latest payphone along with a (not really odd) full! coin box. At first I was unhappy about higher shipping costs than normal but I got a full refund, even a phone for free and a tip on top :)

Buying payphones sometimes is kind of gambling, but most times the house wins. This time I got the jackpot :) And yes, of course I will spend the win on another try, another payphone. And after all, I will win anyway as the phone is the goal of course, finding some money  is only a nice addition :)

I am just wondering about sellers not even being a little curious even if got full set of keys.

All I could think of was remnants of a big arachnid found in a 5302, then I remembered the "Final Notice" I found in my S/C 1216:

"Own Your High Profit Payphone from ProfitPhone Inc."

Too many "Profit's" in that statement for me. We all pretty much know that a "High Profit Payphone" in the COCOT era...NEVER EXISTED!

Except maybe for the people selling the phones!

As long as they weren't the person who originally bought it for $2,000 plus.

It's not an actual phone, but...

I just recently bought a KS 19442 Deluxe Glass indoor phone booth.  It was located in Texas, so I had to have it shipped to me.  It finally showed up yesterday, so I worked for a few hours today taking it apart to clean everything and such. I took one of the inside kick plates off and found a bunch of snake eggs inside the wall of the booth!  Most were hatched, and the couple that weren't were dried up inside(thank goodness!)  The last booth I got had half of it's weight made up from wasp nests, now this one has snakes!  I'm scared to see what will be in the next one.

Snake eggs are one thing -- I hope that you didn't see any snake eyes while you were working on it. Never mind Terry and the carpet -- I'd like to know the KS number of the eggs! I suppose it will have a suffix such as -A (empty), -B (full)!  ;D

I sold a 302 years ago that the buyer wrote me asking if I knew there was a Rolex watch inside! If I could describe it, he would send it to me. There are not a lot of hiding places inside a 302 and I did make it work. Never did get that Rolex back  :-\  ....Doug

I posted a thread a few years ago about a numbered piece of paper inside a soft plastic 500 that I'd been given.  I left the paper inside the phone, but still don't know its significance.

Also, on my blog I wrote about some spiders that raced up my arm when I removed a gong from a 500:
