I wondered about asking that this morning. That's why many people use Craigslist, precisely to avoid the time and trouble of packaging and shipping.  Many people prefer the personal contact aspect of it, as well. It's a shame, and I'm tempted to drive up there, darn it!!

Some also don't like to pay the ebay and Paypal fees.  Getting cash in hand when someone takes your item is nice.

OTOH, they miss out on the global market of insane phone collectors who might offer more than their asking price.

I must be getting feeble-minded, it took me half the day to remember the title of the movie where the "pick your feet" line came from.  Finally recalled it, The French Connection (Do you pick your feet in Poughkeepsie?).  Well hell, that movie was in the early 70s!
