Northern Electric 393G on Kijiji

Here's a 393G hotel phone for sale locally (Toronto).

Going for $230 CAN.

I'd get it, but I already have one. Not too many of these around from what I understand.

Seller says 293A but it's marked as a 393G.

Dave PEI do you have one of these?

It was probably a 293A originally.  Notice the marks on the hinges where the straps were soldered.  Is that a Kellogg receiver cap?

Could be Greg. You're more of an expert than I am on these wooden phones.

Mine was upgraded to anti-sidetone as this one appears to be. Mine was originally a 293. The catalog shows them as coming with a 323 transmitter and 144 receiver. This one also has a hard to find Northern 4H dial.

I think that is a WE rec cap. The one with brass threads covered with heavy bakelite
