HOT OFF THE PRESS! CLEAR(ish) AE47

Just out of the mold; not drilled or tapped yet. I made Serial #1 this color so whomever wins it on eBay will KNOW that it is truly a "One-of-a-kind" as this will be the ONLY example in this shade of clear that I will ever cast.

Ray, you should call that color "sea glass." It's a winner!

Probably better than my first thought--it reminds me of old fruit jars. My aunt used to collect those. Or stacks of old window glass, which had a green cast just like this.

Hmm; don't quite know what you mean?  Are you saying a cast/clear base plate?  If that is what you meant, it wouldn't be thick enough if cast from an original; it would have to be like 3/16" to withstand the forces of the mounting screws, and then I think over time it would deform.

Yessir, already cast the caps for the handset. Will cast the handset tomorrow. Unfortunately, I will have to cast 2 handsets as the only type 41 handset mold that I have currently is a 2-place mold. Will eventually cast an AE40 body for the 2nd handset.
