Here is today's attempt to bring it back to life...Doug

It came out very nice, whatever was on it had dried like paste.

Brasso with Mr Clean Eraser Bar...repeat.....repeat

But the find was the dial, a working III 37 5H. These are not as easy find for your early 302s.

All dates match 10 46 except the dial  8)...Doug

Looks like "53L" on the governor. If so, it was lubricated in 1953.

I haven't seen the vermilion star before. Some later 5H dials have an asterisk.

The contact springs have been updated at some point (originally had the 4H type), but it is still a dial much more difficult to find than a 4H or converted 2A>4H.

That came out nice.  It looked like it came out of a grain elevator.  :D

On Vacation this week so I am catching up on a few phones. This is the second (in the middle) of the Brimfield 302s. It was covered in "stuff" but like the first one, I think it protected it.

I tried the Wright's Polish on it and it really shined it up....Doug

thanks Gary, but they were just filthy. I mean FILTHY! I just wiped them of with Windex after it soaked on the phones, used Wrights Polish on them and it just shines!

Just a 302, but I have it sitting in my tiny corner office and I cannot take my eyes off of it....Doug
