Matt;

I agree, and I've said it more than once. She's the ultimate girl. Her hubby is a lucky guy.

D/P

P.S. Bwanna, you are both a phone, and a guy magnet. ;)

Thank you Dan/P

I consider Bwanna sort of like the mother of the lost boys. In a good way.

Let's help her fix up those good 5302s!

wow   first time a GUY has been jealous of me ;)

For being such a phone magnet is what I meant.
The idea that a four-year degree is the only path to worthwhile knowledge is insane.

I like the 5302s because of telephone history.

Er...I guess I should write "herstory".

Whatever the case, I love any woman who has some appreciation of telephones.

It's a little bit ironic maybe; the original assemblers of all these telephones was done by very capable women. As a man, I'm just trying to learn.

I wish there were more women on the forum.

Whatever happened to Ellen?   She was pretty active there for a while.

I thought about her too, and I enjoyed her presence here a lot.

Maybe she understood her AE 40 and moved on?

To me it's not about male or female:

It's just trying to understand how to fix my copper wires.

Well that was meant to be a compliment, but reading back it does sound a little weird... :P Your right, a "telephone sister" makes a lot more sense... :) Whatever the case, those 5302s are really cool. 8)

I'm going to email Ellen. Perhaps she is simply not very interested in telephones.

Re-education might be required. I'm only kidding. But I'll email her.
-Matt

Ellen

Haha - yes, re-education is required.  My local paper says stay-at-home Moms are poorer and less educated than go-to-work Moms.  I am stay at home, although I am rarely here and my kids are grown and gone.  And I am poorer, also.  What does this mean?  It means I am not your standard-issue American woman.  But you knew that!  I am being educated, but that is unlikely to improve my income, because I yam what I yam.  But it is fun and interesting, and I get to hang around with college guys who still have some hair.

HobieSport

I'm not sure how to respond to that, Ellen.

Do you work at a college?

Do you work at a college?

No, D/P worked his photoshop magic and discovered my age (49) in the spring.  I went to college for a year and a half long, long ago.  Then I got married and had kids (in that order, thank you) and worked part-time in textiles and food and so on.  Then I went to college again, age 42, didn't pan out although I learned some amazing things, some of them about myself.  Now I am trying to get into my local college to get a BS (although I know you-all can supply it a lot cheaper), and I have to take a few courses before they let me in for real, to show them I am smart enough.

I work, um, kinda, like ...  I garden for Jan, I do laundry for Bob, I make meals for Dorothy, I do everything for my parents, I clean for Bonnie, I sew once in a while for whomever.  Most of my time and heart belong to our food co-op, but it doesn't pay anything.  When it does, we had better hire me, and then I will be happy all the time, pouring almonds into the bin and making pricing spreadsheets and bagging the (sterilized) hemp seeds.

Did I answer any questions, or just cause new ones?
Best wishes, Hobie, with all your trials right now.

ps.  Today is my 26th wedding anniversary.

Dan/Panther

Ellen;
What can we supply cheaper, a degree, or BS, The BS is free.

I give free degrees in BS. Signed and certified with fancy letters.
