Check the continuity of the 101A coil, it is a rare occurance, but one section of it can be open.
Fast check- Check between L1 and C for continuity. All 3 coils are in series from C to L1.

I'm not quite sure what this means. Are you saying that the screwdriver slot head is stripped so you can't get a grip with a screwdriver? One good solution to this problem (assuming you have a reversible drill) is to get a left-handed drill bit, and drill into the top of the screw. Since the drill is going backward, it will often get a grip on the metal and back the screw out as you drill. In the worst case, once you get a hole drilled you can use a screw extractor on it.

Harbor Freight has both left-handed drill bit sets and screw-extractor sets for surprisingly little money. You can often get them at hardware stores as well, though they tend to be more expensive and you buy them one at a time instead of in a kit.

I found that using a larger bladed screwdriver can get a better grip on the screw.
