WE # 5 Dial Sticks

Have a WE#5 dial that gets caught and sticks when dialing number one or 2 in a slow manner. Any help on this would be appreciated. I did clean another dial like this with no problem.

Make sure the bridge over the two gears is placed correctly.

Also, they won't always work correctly if the two screws holding this bridge are snug-sometimes they have to be left just a little bit loose. Too loose and it won't work either, however, so go slowly on this and see if you get any improvement.

Finally, did you let the spring all the way down when you were cleaning it? If so, you may not have enough tension on it. The fix for this is to remove the contact stack, then remove the stop plate and twist the dial another turn.
